I've camped at Chipmunk. Nice out-of-the-way location up in a bay of Crooked. Campsite is on a raised area up from the water. I'd give it a solid rating (4 out of 5?) and I'd stay there again.

Pickings are slim.

I am looking to stay at EAGLE for the first two nights

FOX, BEAVER, LYNX or FISHER for night three.

AND Chipmunk on night four.

My main question is which of the sites #1 or #2 on all of these is better, and curious to know if you have a favorite of these sites. I do not have detailed info on any of them.

Thanks in Advance

Sylvania is a small wilderness area. Many of the nicer campsites are reserved early, which leaves you the first come first served sites.

The size of the wilderness area is such that I wouldn't recommend moving from site to site. You are likely not going to find that many of them open anyway. You could see every lake in the park in about a day and a half if going leisurely.

Most campsites are okay, but not as scenic as the sites in the BWCA. The main reason is that they are not right on the shoreline of the lakes. They are out of sight from the lake.

I have not stayed at any of the particular sites you listed, but I have seen most. None are terrific, but none are lousy either.

If you want to be alone, the Eagle campsite is the most removed from the traffic lanes. Crooked Lake would be busy and open to motor boats and not the best lake for swimming, if you're interested in that.
