It's north of Toronto. We came in over the transcan (17) from SSMarie. did Cedar to Radiant (north side). Good fishing for late July and excellent campsite on a point. A few boats and a cabin or two to contend with but many days of solitude and beauty. Talk to Algonquin Outfitters if you consider it and they'll be able to line you out with everthing. Ask for Gord.

Good park but you did hit two of the few lakes where outboards are permitted. In the real interior, you will never see a motorboat.

Yellowcanoe,

You're absolutely right. We had to plan out something though that the other family with us could do and so compromised between going up Cedar to the Cauchons, Catfish or into Radiant. So we finally settled on Radiant and most in our group was glad to see/hear 'company' rather than complete silence...we'll work on the aesthetics for the next trip!

Wanted to save this thread on the fishing forum. I might plan a trip this summer.

Good to hear that fishing is coming back. 15 years ago, there were very few fish due to high levels of acid rain. The bottom of the lakes looked like a desert...no plants, no algae, no fish.
