jeroldharter	03/12/2012 07:00AM   Moonman should sell a BWCA fly assortment here. I will volunteer to be first in line. I have tried those big damsel flies and don't like them. They look great in hand, but they are very wind resistant, the wings get fouled easily. I don't know how to fish them apart from letting them sit still. And they are fragile.
Moonman	03/12/2012 05:28AM   Hi Savage, Dragon fly nymphs are awesome patterns. I catch tons of fish on em. Both floating and sinking versions work and all fish eat em whenever they get a chance. Don't bother with the adults. Here are a few pics of mine. Moonman.
Savage Voyageur	03/08/2012 06:28PM   Last June we saw lots of these multi legged insects crawling around camp. They would hatch into this after a few hours drying their wings in the sun. They had about a four inch wingspan. Where can I get a fly to match this, Thanks?
thistlekicker	03/08/2012 11:41PM   Lots of places to find dragonfly nymph flys. Even your basic wooly bugger in olive or brown can make a passable dragonfly nymph, or something like a zug bug. I'm sure you could find a near-perfect imitation on the web, though. The "adult" version with a 4" wingspan might be harder to find. I've seen damselfly dry flys around but not sure I've ever seen a big dragonfly. Anything with that much wind resistance won't be fun to cast, though - those are even bigger than Hex patterns.
Moonman	04/18/2012 10:19AM   No probs SV, Let us know how you do with them. Also note that towards the mid to end of June, I find damsel fly nymphs are excellent as well. The dragonflies are usually hatching first though, anytime from mid may to mid June. Moonman.
