Good looking flies. Here are some I have recently tied. I caught a bunch of small pike on these last summer on Basewood in the weeds.

Moonman, great job. Those are some nice flies.
WHendrix, those look like some well tied poppers. I always had problems with getting the styrofoam part just right. What kind of hooks? I often avoid that style of popper because I don't like the relatively small gape with the hooks used commercially.

Jerold. The foam bodies are the ones that are called Double Barrel Bodies and are commercially available from Flymen Fishing Co. The hooks I use are Gamakatsu B10S size 2/0. If you haven't tried it the CA super glue that comes in a gel form from Gorilla Glue is great for gluing the bodies to the hook.

It also helps to wrap a layer of thread around the shank of the hook before gluing.

Yes, it does make sense to put a wrap of thread on the hook. It seems to reduce the possibility of the foam spinning around the hook shank.

Guys, I just decided to take some pics of some of the flies I've been tying up the last little while. These are mostly streamers of various sorts. Hope you like 'em.
Moonman.
