I always liked this painting, it was hung above the couch in my parents cabin for years. My parents are in their mid 80's and recently sold their cabin. They gave me the old painting last week.
I never knew anything about it so I asked my dad where he got it. He said he bought it at a Trout Unlimited event. I googled the artist and his name was on line.
It was painted by Ray Mertes, he has painted many fish and lake pictures, many with the split image of fish below the water and the lake above.
