It's a hobby, I am a Dental Technician, crown & bridge. semi- retired now.:-)

Thats beautiful Pat! Are you going to cut a hole in the S. side of your house and install it as a window? It will really come to life with sunlite shining through it!

That's really something beautiful. Can you tell how this comes about? Where do all the different pieces come from? How did you learn to do this?

Tom, I took some classes 30+ years ago, then I just kept making windows and stuff....here are some old pictures. Each piece is cut.... then put on a grinder to smooth it out and make it fit exactly, then wrapped in copper foil then soldered together. It is a very old method dating back to the middle ages.

Here is the latest from my work bench, only a few more pieces to cut and wrap in copper foil and I will be ready to solder.....boy are there a lot of pieces in this window! fishguts

It's Finished! After much soldering....then cleaning then rubbing copper patina on, then more washing....then windex...all I have to do now is install some trim, and paint. And yes! bruceye, it is on the south side....beside our front door.
