I'mma by getting rid of my Old Town. Bought it new, hasn't been in the water for 10 years. Has always been stored inside. It's 17'4" long and a heavy 84#. I used to take it on trips but it's just too heavy for an old guy like me to carry. LOL This canoe is basically bomb proof and can do whatever you want to this canoe. I'd like $350. I'm in eastern Iowa so I could deliver it a couple of hours away.

I had a YR2001 16' version of that Old Town canoe and just sold it this spring for exactly $400. Your description is spot-on...… "bomb-proof" and "heavy" nailed it perfectly. I used mine extensively for Ohio river & creek trips and was not at all gentle with the canoe. Other than a pretty scratched up bottom, the canoe help-up excellent for nearly 20 years.
I sold mine for the same reason; it seemed to get a little heavier each year. I picked up a nice used Royalex canoe for $500 which cut the weight back to just under 60 lbs which is much nicer.
