MReid: "Blatz: "It looks similar to my Jensen " According to the specs, it's a pro boat (3x27), so quite a bit sleeker than a Jensen 18 (which is "Stock" specs--around 33" at the 4" waterline). It'll also be much lower volume.
I've raced pretty radical stock boats (Wenonah SCR) in open water--with a deck, they'd be ok for BW. Successfully using a pro boat would require more skill." Given it's weight it would make a tripping boat, but it rides way too low in the water. I would not want to use it on choppy water. That being said, on flat water or a river it actually gets up and planes. Crazy fast.

Looking into selling our Sawyer racing canoe. We don't race anymore and it is not deep enough for tripping. It is the 39# kevlar. Any thoughts on price?

It looks similar to my Jensen 18 . I used it on many BW trips and it was a great tripper. Also raced it in the Des Plaines Marathon btw

No thoughts on price, but how's it do on the Des Plaines?

The previous owner and myself used it in DesPlaines River Marathon. It is very fast. Don't know if I would use it on big water.

Hi... I am considering getting into some racing... I have a Sawyer DY Special, and have owned a Wenonah Advantage and a Prism...
Would your canoe be a good tandem to start trying some racing events? Maybe with my daughter?
Any idea on a price yet?
Thanks.....
