Thanks, as well Shawn, your interest in the canoe was the prodding I needed to find out what kind it is (these canoes were gifted to us from my in-laws) and get it up for sale. Hopefully my fleet will go down from 7 to 6 canoes. I will be putting it up for sale on this site soon and Craigs List after that if it doesn't sell.
Good luck with your search.

Shawn,

I was able to get under its sister canoe down by the lake in Detroit Lakes.

Hull plate states that it is a QT 17 W model.
Link states that it is 64 pounds, I guess thats why my wife was able to portage it into Insula in 2011.
This pic of its sister canoe shows the average wear the canoe in Duluth would have since my in-laws bought them both together. Link states its 64 pounds.

Hi. I'm looking for a 17 Foot Alumacraft Voyageur Canoe. I'm located in south-central MN. Does anyone have one of these for sale or have a good lead on where to look?

Thanks much,
Shawn

QT is the Quetico model, I have one of those as well, I have weighed mine with the factory yoke it is 64 pounds. If I needed another boat I would snap this up in an instant."

Shawn,
Ben/Nctry on this BWCA website has hauled many canoes, and said its worth around 400 bucks in its condition.
I'll stand by the price of $250 I presented to you, but i will soon be putting it up to sell to anyone who wants it. Ben has offered to haul it to Canoecopia (sp) for any future interested parties.
No pressure, Just letting you know, and thanks for your interest.

I have a 17 foot Alumacraft for sale, not sure if it is the Voyageur model, it is under 3 feet of snow now. It was built in the 80's but has only seen a couple trips in the last 20+ years.
It is in good shape, has scratches from the BW but no dents, doesn't leak. it also has the factory portage yoke built in.

$250.00 it is in Duluth.
I will dig up a few pictures soon, but I do not have any good ones of it.
