I have taken this boat many places: in rivers and massive lakes, as well as streams and ponds. I haven’t found a better tripping canoe for that wide range of conditions. Primary stability is good, but in large waves, the great secondary stability keeps you from being tossed out in a broaching moment. It’s fast, seaworthy, and maneuverable enough to race up swift water to reach the portage upstream. $900
