Hey I think I saw some outfitters have some Champlain's listed. Though the websites may be out of date.

I see that Piragis has couple of Minnesota 4's and a Minnesota 3 left from their sale of fleet canoes last year. They keep their fleet canoes in service for just one year and then sell them. I bought a Spirit II from them a few years ago and it was in pretty god shape.

Thanks folks. It's hard to buy site unseen and I'd rather avoid buying from an outfitter if possible. They put a lifetime of use on their boats in a single year so buying one that's 4 years old and well used for $1,500 - $2,000, even if still afloat and patched up, is tough to swallow. Hoping to spend that kind of money from an individual who's probably taken better care of their personal vessel over time. Maybe I'm dreaming.

You're not dreaming, the prices I saw were more like 1000 to 1200 for the outfitter boats.
Everyone has their own definition of solid tripping canoe :)
