I am looking to but a 3 person Kevlar Canoe in good condition. I prefer a Northstar Northwind 20. Looking for lightweight. If you have one for sale please reach out to me. I am taking a trip in May, June and September and would like to avoid renting.

I bought a We-no-nah Seneca from Moosetrack Outfitters last fall for $1,000. Has a patch, but you'd never know unless you were looking for it. Perhaps wider than I wanted, but with teenagers, the added stability is nice. Not sure if they have any used canoes left in stock. But they had the lowest prices of any of the outfitters. Best time to purchase from outfitters is usually in October when the paddling season is over for most.

Check with Voyageur North Outfitters in Ely. I believe they have 2-3 used 3-person kevlar canoes that they are selling.

I have a MN3, purchased a year ago from Voyageur North for the 2020 MR340 race. It is a formerly Voyageur North rental, not pretty but intact and structurally sound. It served us well last year for training and the race but I have replaced it with a MN2, also from Voyageur North. The bow sliding seat is stuck in the furthest back position (probably fixable) and there is no portage yolk. (Didn’t need it, repurposed into a removable foot brace for the stern position that isn’t included in the sale).

Located in central Illinois.

Looks like Voyageur North might have a Northwind 18 and a Seneca left? Per their used gear facebook page. Would be worth a call anyway

Hi ScottL,
Thank you for the information. I called and they have a northwind 18 talking with John and Lynn about that canoe just not sure if that is the one. It has some damage. Waiting to hear back on any other 3 person options they may have. Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. have a great day.
