Some more details and new pics

2013 Souris River, Quetico 17
Located in South central Pennsylvania

Purchased from outfitter in Killarney PP, 2016

Reconditioned (the boat was sound, the work was cosmetic only— sanded down, painted two tone with Pettit Marine Ezpoxy , replaced gunnels, handholds , and thwarts with black aluminum)

Taken on a dozen canoe trips between 2016-2020, where she served us well.

For those of you know Souris River Quetico 17, you know it is excellent wilderness tripping boat. Seaworthy on bigger water, maneuverable enough for twisty creek travel, multi week carrying capacity, and lightweight enough (45 pounds) for portaging.

Great canoe can’t believe it hasn’t sold. I had the 18.5 Q version for 18 years and it is still going strong with a member from this board.

We are selling our Souris River Quetico 17.

I'll post more pics tomorrow, but here is a shot from our 2020 BWCA trip (the personal decals have since been removed). We've since gone a bit lighter with our Swift Keeywadin, which we purchased in 2019, and she's been sitting on the rack, except for one trip when our daughter and friend paddled it in 2020.

We purchased it used from an outfitter in 2016, and did some sanding, (including sanding down the skid plates, and one rough patch applied by the outfitter). It was clear Kevlar with aluminum trim when we bought it.

We painted it with a Marine Grade, Pettit EZPoxy jade green on top, cream on the bottom. (the souris river decal was also removed at that time, but i can send pics of the serial plate) We also changed out the gunnels, thwarts and handholds with black aluminum and installed a new yoke. It's a good looking boat, with some new scratches, as we tripped with it for 3 years over beaver dams and such, after refinishing.

I'm a kneeler so we flipped the bow seat to sit lower, as the height was uncomfortable (dug into the backs of my thighs). That could easily be flipped back over for a sitting paddler.

We weighed it today, and it comes in just under 45 pounds.
We're located in south central Pennsylvania.
