If this doesn’t work out, I’m still happy to come pick the wheels up. I can get there today.
Thanks!

Ya we would literally load a boat heaping with stuff. Hundreds of pounds ! It was a zoo moving in and out at canoeacopia and that setup was the way to go

UR is Spring Creek's Universal Receiver. It's about $100 for a 36" version which is what I use with stabilizer floats. It comes with the clamps to attach to the canoe. What kind of canoe? What do you mean by "loaded"? You could easily haul a few rods and tackle boxes, etc. If he put a couple hundred pounds in it he might tear rivets out of the gunnels.

What is it missing? What is the UR? What would it take to make it work? I'm guessing it's missing the cross bar. That could probably replaced by an aluminum extrusion or even a 2 x 4. My buddy is looking for portage wheels to get his canoe loaded with fishing gear from his cabin to his dock, it's about 200 yards. He wouldn't be putting it in his canoe, it would stay at the dock while he fished.

Ok. To alleviate confusion, just pass them on to amhacker. I'll just order new wheels when I order the spring creek UR.

He has a solo canoe, T-Formex build. Loaded means his small soft-sided tackle box, fishing rod, paddle, PFD, GPS, and a soft-sided cooler with 2-3 drinks.

My buddy actually is looking for something smaller and more lightweight for the purpose of storage. Good luck.

Oh, that's not a load at all. I wrote to Spring Creek before I bought my package and asked about carrying a load. They said they that when they went to sport shows they would put the wheels on a canoe and load it with stuff for their booth.

If these are still available, and you’re willing to ship to Minneapolis, I’ll take them. If they’re gone, I guess I missed it.
I’ll send an email with my phone number.
Thanks!
