This has always been a reliable shelter on our canoe trips, hiking outings, and car camping, all the way up through 2022. Ever the old standby, it’s not the lightest per square foot, but it has never let us down. Always well cared for, a footprint used every time, and always set up to dry out after every trip before storage.

Sure, it has seen 20-something years of service, so there are some of the usual signs of age - darkness where seams were sealed, seam tape starting to separate a bit, a few polka dots of dried blood from mosquitoes trapped inside when packing up. I took to using an inside plastic liner because the floor now allows some wetness through. Not sure if it did that when it was new.

Parts are all there and in good shape, although the tip on one of the ridge poles has a slight curve to it. It’s not bent or crimped or anything, and it has never provided any problems at all, just full disclosure. I added some cordage and small quick-locking tensioners to help draw the fly out tightly in rocky environs.

The nice thing about it being a vintage model: it has two doors, unlike today’s version that now has just one. I’m selling this without footprint or any inside liner or gear loft, but the included vestibule is a huge addition that frees up sleeping space and is perfect for boots, rain gear, day pack, and all that.

So happy with the design, we replaced it with this year's version of the exact same model.
