Wood, seats, and finish are beautiful. There are a few faint scuffs on the hull. I wouldn't even call them scratches, but they show it's not a brand new canoe. The canoe is an all round great canoe. The hull provides lots of stability. It has an enormous capacity. The rocker allows it to maneuver quite well. The Royalex is "bombproof". I have friends who have wrapped theirs around a rock, retrieved it, popped it back out, and continued their trip. It's not as light as kevlar, but "it can take a licking and keeps on ticking!" The canoe is located in southern Minnesota.
