I'm looking for a lightweight nylon tarp, and two stoves: Primus kerosene with the tank on the bottom, and Trangia alcohol stove kit. Shipping would be to zip 54121 Thank you, Bryan |

I'll also be on the east in about 10 days. I could pick up anything i purchase in person. I'll be heading back to the Twin cities (MN) and I'd be happy to transport gear back for folks to save them the shipping costs. Just a thought. FYI: I'll be coming through on May 5th and back in Minneapolis by the 6th of May. |

1. As others have said, if you'd like prospective buyers on the board to contact you, go to your profile and uncheck the box that says "Hide my email address...". Then the little envelope will show up under your name every time you post and folks can click on it to start an email to you. 2. You should list prices with the items you have for sale. Personal note: Always a bummer to see someone's paddling life coming to an end and the gear getting sold. We will all get there someday. I hope you have lots of fond memories of your past trips. |

I just want let everyone know that my purchase of one of Thom's portage packs was very successful. We met up in Mercer, PA in western PA. We had a good but brief chat as he needed to get to work as a youth pastor and I needed to make South Bend by evening. I bought a really nice portage pack in great condition. We communicated mostly by email. Nice to meet you Thom! Best of luck to you on the next phase of your life journey. Highndry |

I don't think the scamming is so widespread that people won't buy. I think we just need to be cautious. |

Years ago, I purchased some needed equipment from this very forum. I was hoping to put some of my equipment into the hands of those of you who still trip. However, in reading recent posts about issues involving people being scammed, I am wondering if trying to sell some stuff here is even a possibility. Some of the items I am looking to sell include: Big Agnes COPPER SPUR UL3 Tent - barely used Granite Gear portage packs Boundary Waters Journal insulated food pack Granite Gear food packs Blue food barrel with Granite Gear harness Several Thermarest pads Exped synthetic fill sleeping mat. Granite Gear internal frame backpacking pack And other things. If folks have interest in some of these items, I will go ahead and post them. You tell me the best way to make you comfortable with the sale. Having been scammed myself in the past couple of years, I want to do whatever is possible to help you feel comfortable and making an arrangement. Sincerely, Thomas Scott PS: I am located in New Castle, PA |
