- From my research it appears Back Bay can be hot with big crappies. Would this time of year be worth our while to give it a try? Any advice on presentation and depths that I should be targeting if we wanted to screw around a bit in Back Bay prior to the portage? - How is the portage? Last year we did the 2 portages from Fall and wasn't too bad at all. Is the Back Bay portage comparable to these? - Other than the Lewis Narrows, does anyone have suggestions on what depths and locations on the Pipestone side that we should be targeting this time of year for Walleye and Pike? Any and all advice is much appreciated! This our 6th annual and haven't really been able to get to the Pipestone side much, but heard much about the "mystical" pipestone bay. Thanks and Fish On!!! |

I've done the portage from Back Bay but, there were 4 of us with 2 14 footers and 15 hp motors. It's been a while back but I remember fairly short and rocky with some up hill going in I believe. A little work but worth it. |
