Surface temps on Ima , Thomas, and Insula were all at 70 this past week, 5' down was still 69 and 70 look for areas of moving water as this temp. increase is nuts. We swam twice a day just to cool off.

I was hoping for some more recent temp updates? I’m getting ready to head up tomorrow, trying to decide if I should take minnows in or not. Was hoping if the water has warmed up enough I’ll be good with leeches and crawlers.

47 last Friday on MacFarland, 66 Wednesday on Kimball, so yes, warming up fast on the surface.

Heading up in a week and would appreciate any updates on water temperatures, which I imagine have been rising very quickly given the warm weather.

We'll be in Quetico through Cache Bay, but updates from anywhere in the area would be helpful. Mostly interested in learning whether there will be any hope of still finding lake trout fairly shallow, and where the bass will be in the spawn cycle.

Thanks to all. Was hoping to still catch water temps in the low fifties after the late ice out, but looks like the recent warmth has had other ideas. Hope to still be able to catch a few lakers without going too deep for them.

I was thinking Agnes in the Quetico when I first saw that and I thought to myself wow that is really warm for Agnes. Agnes is always cold. Seen ice walls on the east side of the lake many times in late May. If you want a cold drink after doing the Meadow portages, Agnes always provides.
