Just got back from Agnes and LLC. This being my first time on this route and we did pretty good on walleyes, but never caught anything over 13 to 14 inches. Is this how is it on this route or did we go too late? We basically fished the end of Agnes and the boulder river around the 70 rod portage to Never Failed Bay. Maybe we should of gone deeper or further out into LLC.

We typically do pretty well in this area but this year all our fish were small. Some nice crappies though.

We think that the 93 degree heat of Memorial Day weekend probably did not help us out in the fish department. Bass were way off.

Just got back from that area. We caught larger fish with larger lures in slightly deeper than normal water for this time of year. Numbers were still good overall as well. We focus our efforts on pinch points, current areas, and anywhere a "point" sticks out. If you have a hard time locating good structure, just fish shorelines and make sure your lures taps the bottom every now and then. You might have to let more line out than what you can cast and you will have to play around with trolling speed. The group I took this week needed to let more line out and slow down (one person paddling comfortable at a time). Another tactic you can try is to fish between and around islands for consistent action. Hope this helps.

Yea...we should of fished deeper and out more towards the main lake, but we had fun though. Next time we will try to go earlier and see if it makes a difference.

My group and I will be heading up to Agnes and LLC area and was wondering if anyone who recently got back would like to share info regarding water temps, water level and fishing reports. Thanks

Always had good luck in Boulder Bay - Tiger Bay area this time of year, late ice out, walleyes will be shallow if the weather stays consistent for you. Leaving for Gabbro area tomorrow. Good luck!

The relative ease of catching young walleyes like the ones described here bode well for this fishery. It means recruitment or success of the hatches for 2014 and 2015 was probably pretty good.
