Heading in this Thursday AM and will need to get a couple pounds of leeches. Are the shops up there well stocked this time of year or should I haul some up from the metro? I would rather buy local if at all possible.
Also what time do they open? Wanting to hit the trail as early as possible.
Last time I bought some from our outfitter but the size was not nearly as good as I’m used to so hoping to use a real bait shop this time.
Thanks!!!

Arrowhead Outdoors is my new favorite Ely baitshop. Good supply, prices, and advice. And a free box of shorelunch for Dads on Father's Day!
Plenty of leeches as well.

We have a good supply, both Large/Jumbo and mediums, and get more every week. So far, the supply is holding. Bait shops in the cities normally run out of leeches long before shops in the north do, so it's kind of a myth that the opposite is true.

Thanks for the quick response!!! I’ll be stopping by 1st thing Thursday for a couple pounds of large/jumbos. What time to do you open in the morning?

Too bad you don't have your email linked to your bwca account.
