Sorry if this has been asked a bunch, but I’m looking for my best chance to catch a laker up the Gunflint. I’m not looking for a trophy(would be awesome) just never caught one jigging. I will be up mid-July. I’ll take any info your willing to share.

Gillis....lots of fish, predictable pattern

Jigging is not a good search option but fun when fish are located. I would troll or just look with a graph first to locate fish. That time of year they will be deeper (30-50'). The MN DNR web page can give you many good lakes to fish.
