I don't have a recent fishing report but I really liked my trip there last year w/ my then 9 yo daughter. It's a lot of getting in and out of the canoe to portage with the small lakes but it's a very quiet area. We only saw a few people and we were there over Memorial Day weekend which is a busy time.
We caught a lot of smallies and had a walleye fish fry.

ducks,
Look at the smile on that kiddos face! Looks like you created some lasting memories with her! I took a trip through #43 this past spring, but we passed through Swan, headed to Brule, went North/East, and exited on Ram. We wanted to do more traveling, but this trip will be more about relaxing and fishing. Thanks for the photos!

The color pattern on that walleye is amazing.

I have an August trip planned for EP #43, and will be base camping on Swan lake. Has anyone recently fished walleye on any of the lakes from EP #43?
Thanks for the help!

I went through those lakes about twenty years ago and my impression was they weren’t good fishing lakes. Since I’m waiting at a tire shop I checked on Minnesota lake finder and the survey for Swan was surprising. It was taken in 2014, so fairly recent. Check it out. It’s kind of interesting.
