We will be on Seagull Last week of September. Never had much luck on Seagull in the past. Any areas you would suggest? We portaged into Alpine last year and did pretty good. Would like to find some areas that were good fishing on Seagull.

Seagull is known for some sizeable lake trout. I've never fished it but with a decent contour map of the lake, you could narrow down some promising areas to troll. There's a large basin in the southern end of the lake to the west of Three mile. Very interesting structure. They will be deep (50+ feet) so spoons in the 4 to 5 inch size or deep-running crankbaits such as taildancers would be good options. Others who fish this lake more thoroughly can give you better advice.

There are pike and smallmouth lurking in the shallows and bays around the islands in the northern end if that interests you.

last week of september , try for smallies around the islands at the end of 3-mile island , a good trolling stretch is from the alpine portage to and past the rog portage (stay on the outside of the islands) , and for lakers just try trolling the big open water with spoons/little cleos

I really know nothing about fishing on Seagull. But I do know you will be asked "What are you fishing for?"
