Depends on the species and if I found the spot myself . If it’s Brook Trout or Lake trout in a small lake it’s probably not going to happen unless I’ve known you for awhile. If it’s Pike or Smallies or walleye on a large lake then no problem. I never ever give up a spot that I’ve been shown and the person asked me not to say anything.

What is your opinion about giving up "hotspots" for fishing in the BWCA?
I personally am not going to give up that info my fishing buddies and I have worked hard to find.

One secret spot for each weekend of taking me steelhead fishing on the north shore.

If you email me I am much more willing to share some spots than on a forum.

This question comes up once in a while on these forums. People differ, that's for sure.

There's no way I'm sharing my favorite spots in a public forum-- which are mostly trout spots, with a few sneaker big pike lakes.
