I'm entering Snowbank June 23 and was planning on paddling through Disappointment lake and on to Ima on the first day, but I've read some reports that said people had good luck fishing on Disappointment. I know its just one portage to Disappointment and sounds like its a fairly busy lake but if the fishing is better than Ima I might stay there the first night. Any input on crowds and fishing on Disappointment that time of year?

On an overcast day my favorite large pike lake. Good walleye and bass fishing. The health and structure on this lake is amazing. Inlet and outlet. Many 5 star campsites. you may just want to stay. June is good!

I fished Disappointment on 5 different trips and I've had some great fishing on Disappointment and been disappointed on Disappointment. I will say that there are a lot of fish in the lake but they won't be jumping in the boat. Been on Ima twice, ice fishing and the first week in June. Both times our groups had pretty good luck with lakers. I personally have never have caught a laker in Ima. But then I have never caught a laker in Snowbank, Big Saganaga, Knife, Sak, Seagull,Mountain, Clearwater, and a few others I can't think of at the moment.
