Not a debate of whats better or about politics, but as I recently got a Cabelas/Bass Pro Shop mega catalog, seems like many items were "imported" without a definition. This made me think about my tackle, which I am sure at least half was "imported" (insert geographic location of your choice). I fish with what works and with what I have experience with, not where it is from. That said, does anyone have a list of North American companies making tackle?

I don’t know if they import some of their offerings, but a quick search showed these American Companies manufacture lures in the states: Bay de Noc, Eagle Claw, Eppinger, Mepps, and Thomas Fishing Lures.

Got curious. This from the Elaztech web site (makers of the Shad-z, etc. lures which QueticoMike swears by....note the manufacturing origin sentence....

"Manufactured entirely at our facility in South Carolina, this unique material is also naturally buoyant and floats up off the bottom, creating a more visible, lifelike, and attractive target to game fish. And unlike most other soft plastic baits, ElaZtech contains no PVC, plastisol or phthalates, and is non-toxic. Z-Man now offers a complete lineup of fresh- and saltwater baits that outperform and outlast any other soft baits on the market, along with a wide variety of jigheads, skirted jigs, and accessories that round out its diverse product line."
