definitely Seagull if you want lakers , seagull is a better fishery but depends if you want to stay on an entry point lake or get back a little bit , the wind on seagull can be difficult at times , but the wind on ogish being hourglass shape gets really weird at times , , all different directions all at once LOL.

If you choose Seagull and have wind but are close to the portage to Alpine, fish for walleye there. It too can be windy, but generally not to the level of Seagull.

I love both lakes. For numbers of walleyes ogish is best. For trophy walleye seagull is better. Seagull is significantly better for lake trout. For a first timer I think ogish is much easier to fish. Seagull at times can be brutal and even unfishable pending on wind.

My small group will be heading up north next week, for 5 days, and I’m curious about the fishing on these two lakes. Our plan was to spend time on both lakes, but I was unsure if one has distinct differences when it comes to fishing. Does one excel over the other in walleye, LT, etc? Seagull is obviously much larger, which carries both positives and negatives. Ogishkemuncie appears to have a several locations with falls/current coming in. We will be targeting all species, but I thought I’d see if anyone has a little insight on these two lakes to help fine tune my trip. Thank you in advance!
