Heading back to camp on the last night of our adventure, my brother tossed out a top water and boom.. a nice hit. At first, he said, ahhh, it's a northern, and then about 6 feet from our canoe jumps this monster 6.5# largemouth. An unreal experience. I net it and toss out another line in the same area and a little fingerling northern takes the bait. His revenge was fierce as he jerked a little too hard when I grabbed him and landed the treble hook in my hand. Removed soon after this picture. One heck of a fish and story.

Nice Fish! That's a huge largemouth that far north! Hope you and your boys had fun on the trip! Can't wait to bring mine up!
