The article discusses those points re: recent flooding and the likely path of this monster. The DNR was discussing how and when it will attempt to relocate this lake sturgeon back to Minnetonka as these are somewhat rare (I think). Really fun for those kids though!

So much fun for those kids. There are legends of a few monster sturgeon in lake minnetonka, so I'm thinking it got over the dam at Gray's Bay at some point due to flooding or damage? Wonder how long it has been in the creek?

thats crazy , great story how they caught/got it . GG i've heard stories of people seeing good size muskies above the gray's bay damn. they must survive the winter with the moving water ??
