I have caught Lake trout, Northern, Walleye and Smallmouth on Texas rigs. For Walleye this is my go to bait. Green pumpkin speed worm.

Haven't tried Texas rigs, but one time I was in Ontario catching walleyes on every cast on jigs and white twister tails and thought I'd try a wacky rigged Senko just for fun. Couldn't get so much as a bite.

I got turned onto fishing Texas rigs this year at home with shad pattern plastics and had great success with smallmouth and northern. I don't fish very weeding conditions but there are lots of rocks and woody snags. I am wondering if anyone has experience using them for walleye in BWCA or elsewhere?

I'll TX rig a grub on a jig when around brush. Helps a lot. But you still need to get 'em out of the woods if you hook up.
