There is a lake outside of the BWCA that has blue walleyes. TGO told my buddy and I about it. Splake, too. We put them in a bucket of snow. We ice fished the lake. The snow in the bucket was blue by the time we got back to my buddies cabin. I had pics, but lost that phone:(

I caught this on our houseboat cruise. I released this fish, too pretty to fillet.

Exactly. Some of these pics aren't blue walleyes. Nice fish, though.
Blue walleyes have a blue slime to them. There is a lake just outside the BWCA where my buddies and I have caught them.

Here's pics from two walleye caught consecutively on Kenny Lake in the Q, about five minutes apart. One had the blue tint and the other was classic Canadian gold.

I have also seen yellow perch with the same blue pigment in several northwestern Michigan lakes.

We have seen several on our lake system. I have caught 2 in the last 9 years as well.

Re-examining the pic......I do see some blue pigmenting coming through the tail. Looks like a guess you had to be there moment to get the full effect. Nice fish.

I’ve caught many blues on Kawnipi. They taste the same to me as the gold ones.

picture doe's not do justice to the amount of blue on it. voyageurs guides said they were catching a few blue's in that area.
they confirmed by picture-it was a blue.
