I had to think hard if I really wanted to ask Mrs. Claus to put one under the tree. They're really nice rods. " That is a very good price !

I'm typically chasing walleye in the BWCA. Last season I bought one top water popper to target some bass, absolutely hammered big smallies with it. Such a blast. Small little slimer bit it off on one trip. Fair to say I'm asking for more.

I learned years ago that the best thing to reply, when asked from my mother in law of what I want... is a Bass Pro Gift Card. Not as much fun for them...but I sure enjoy relaxed perusing through the aisles with that card in my pocket!

Read the article, though I couldn't get the kid to read it...yet. Thanks Mike, I will probably use some of the techniques you wrote about, not only for the pike, but also the other species.

Santa doesn’t need to bring me anything new, but it looks like my 15 year old nephew will be getting an Orvis 5 weight starter fly fishing set up. This will be out of the blue for him, but I’m holding hope it might just be the start of a big shift for him.

I know I'm getting some 10 # Trilene XL fishing line this year! Can't have enough fishing line :)

I used to keep all kinds of live bait in the fridge when I was a kid, I don't think my mom was real pleased but she put up with it somehow. :)

A new bait refrigerator for the garage. My wife was not happy when a couple dozen crawlers escaped from a flat in the refrigerator in the kitchen the night before a Canadian trip this past September.

I beat Santa to it and snagged up some good BB swivels and quick snaps the other day. Walked by them twice at that. I have enough tackle to last my lifetime already.....but will still buy a horse tird at a 'dime-on-the-dollar'. :) oth

Asked Mrs Claus for something from Sig Sauer company.. And Ice breaker clothing for the May trip to the Q. Which was my way of telling her about the trip again this coming year :) The dog could use a new wool sweater for the trip as well..
