Well if I want to be judgy I was thinking he was going after big lake trout why did he bring a brook trout net :)

I thought for sure he was going into the drink with all of the standing/crouching he was doing, with the mess he had going on. If he had been more prepared (net up front, bigger net too) it might not have been so dicey. Beautiful fish though. It was out of the water for quite a while though, I agree. As for the tag, why would he have taken it? I thought he just took a picture of it.

one of the first things I learned is that you don't catch more fish with two lines, it makes landing them more difficult and even if the number you lose is not more than the increase in the number you catch, the extra drama just isn't worth it
yeah. it was fun to catch a bigun', but think how much more enjoyable it would have been without the rod in the way
then again, the world is full of drama queens

The landing/handling did not go well. I could understand if it was a bluegill fisherman accidentally catching a muskie, but he was going for big fish in big water....

I think he was fishing for coho but he should be prepared for everything fishing that body of water.
The two lines thing bothers me in a kayak where you have no ability to spread the lines out or to maintain boat position.

Pretty cool! Not sure I’d want to be in that cold lake in a kayak though. Looked pretty sketchy.

Nice fish! Other than the cluster F that he had with the other line and messing w/ his drag and all that....I'd have no problem being in a kayak that close to shore in that calm of water. Especially in that kayak
