Only fished Seagull a little from shore. Caught a few small northern, Fished Alpine quite a bit. Bite was tough for me. I caught a few on Zulu rigs. But I had my very best luck with just a TGO leech. I caught several 22-23" walleye and quite a few smallies. |

When we did get out fishing there didn't seem to be much activity on the north side of long island up to honeymoon island. But again limited time on the water. The highest concentration of fished I marked a lot of fish in the seagull river and in the bay up to clark island and the big point to the west. Much more activity in this area on the depth finder than around munker/long island. But we didn't fish here, just marked them on the way in and out. Water temps were 61 on the north side of long, 63 on the south side of long/munker, and as high as 70 in shallow bays. Good luck GG wish I had a better report for ya. |

SoMpls: "We were out on Sag last week but unfortunately weren't able to fish much. We were wind bound in camp for most of our 3 night trip - white caps were rolling on the north side of long island where we were camped for basically 72 hours straight. Not even the typical morning or evening reprieve. Thanks for the report! We always know it might be one of "those trips." For us, as day-trippers we are fortunate enough to be able to decide which days to fish which lakes and not get stuck on an island for 3 days (although that's amazing in its own way.) We are planning to stick to the east-end motor corridor so hopefully we will be a little protected around Clark, Campers, James Bay, Conners, up to Sag Falls. If we get lucky with weather I'd like to venture out to the open water area that forms a triangle with Munker / Camper / Horseshoe Island, but I'm fairly conservative with my 13yo son in tow. |
