Did a limited amount of fishing on South Fowl in the spring. WE enjoyed a nice paddle down the Royal River and caught some Pike on South Fowl. I've heard there should be nice perch on the Fowl lakes, wondering where to spend our time there. WE will be staying on John Lake Or East Pike for a few days around Labor Day weekend. Just my daughter and I this trip and she loves to fish.
Thanks
Keegan

They are basically the same lake if memory serves. They might been separate at one time but I think a dam conjoined them as they are now. Same lake essentially. Yes good fishing. Huge perch. John Lake has some pigs also. It’s closer to you, the entrance into the Fowl Lakes is kind of a pain in the paddle if I remember, lotsa fowl in them marshes tho. The Fowl lakes are a bit foul for my taste. Shoddy cabins on the shore, Canadian access by road. You do realize 3/4 of the lake is in Canada. Can’t go there, so what’s the point. Just my opinion. Haven’t been there in 20 years but I can’t imagine much has changed. I would go as far as John Lake if I were you.
