Gman7: "Thanks to all for input. What hooks are you typically using for bait holders. My go to bait would be leeches. I have used aberdeen hooks #6 or #8 under a slip bobber. This is inspired by the book Lunkers Love night crawlers. The idea is that the thin wire hook allows the bait to have a more natural action. I have also use standard Cabela's brand black ball head jigs 1/8 or 1/4 oz under a slip bobber. This means I don't have to use a split shot and seemed to work just as well. |
