It's a big fish, no doubt. Browns that big only come out at night. Mousing on a fly rod is very fun... it's surprising.

I think it's irresponsible when people purposely target big fish on very light line. You play the fish way too much and fish like that should be brought in quick and released the same.

You’d be surprised of how you can land huge fish on light line.We used to catch carp that size on 4&6 lb line.it seems the stretch of the light line tires the fish out in a different way.We also fish for smallies sometimes with 2 lb line for fun and it’s amazing how the stretch of that light line tires them out faster then when we use heavier line,but........good luck in heavy cover,no chance. We only did it off of rock shoals where most of the battle would go deep and verticle.

That's a big fish. I caught a 37 inch pike on Carp once. It definitely didn't weigh 32lbs though. Holy cow!

New Montana State Brown Trout Record caught on March 3rd 7:30 pm on Marais River ... 32 lb. 6 oz. on 4 lb test.

My brother who lives in Billings, MT called me about this record trout and sent me this link. Heck, I didn't even know brown trout in northern rivers got that big. Awesome fish.

My biggest native brown trout is just short of 20 inches caught in a stream going into the Mississippi River near the Iowa/MN border.

Reminds me of some of the giant trout I saw the Conrad bros catching on their youtube videos in Canada (Sask)

I think they had (or have) world records for some of those yet. And if you feel like binging a weekend or a bunch of weeknights watch season 1 and 2 of 39 hours on youtube :)

What a beauty.

There are some bigger browns in Lake Michigan around Milwaukee, but that fish on UL gear would be incredible.

I really doubt that line class record will ever be broken. What a beast of a fish.

What a slab! I was hoping the article would say it was caught on a #18 Adams.

Love 39 hours, and Uncut Angling. The Conrads are fishing machines for sure. This 32 lb Brown is a beast, but the most impressive thing is the 4lb test line, must have been quite the battle.
