George, I did some research on this and it all depends on water temp. They spawn at about 55 water temp, if cooler they will be staging. I've never fish either lake but I would try a multi color gumball 1/8 oz. jig from northland jigs. If they are staging start in deeper water and work your way shallower. I think berkley may have power baits that resemble live minnows. I see bald eagle has the isabella river at its south end maybe a good place to start

Going in Little Gabbro EP 5/17 for 5 days of fishing and would like to target crappie at least one day. Appreciate any info y'all might have to share.
