I’ve caught many big smallmouth Bass on Ensign. First week of June they will be inhaling my top water lures, Wacky worms, and Whopper Ploppers. I think the biggest one was 20” and average about 17-18”. The action is nonstop after the spawn. I’ve done very well on Ashagon too. Out of this list I’ve fished only Ensign and Ashagon with Ensign the best. Don’t forget to check out Trident lake if you are on Ensign. It’s located on the north side of Ensign.

We went to Ella Hall at the end of September 2020. Had the lake to ourselves and it was a pike and giant bass factory. We were trolling pike chubs on large bottom bouncers with spinner rigs that had upsized hooks and a stinger. There were spots where we couldn't keep the fish off the line, which makes it fun!

I have only fished Ensign and it's an amazing Smallie lake. I don't think I ever didn't catch a big one. Some nice Largemouth in there too. I have heard good things about Ella Hall too but never been there.
