Hi there. Putting in at EP 25 going up Knife and hopefully into SAK. Bringing a few basic items and hoping to jig/rig for walleye/bass, and bob for walleye/bass using leeches. Bringing some artificial to throw for pike. Anything specific I need? Never been this area before, anyone have some spots or ideas where I can find the fish this time of year? Preference for walleye but won’t be picky if we find bass/pike instead. Thanks.

Were were on the SAK last year around this time. We caught walleyes only at dawn or dusk. We caught lake trout using Pink Lady size 0 downriggers with a 5'-6' leader (just mono) and spoons. We caught smallies and northerns while fishing for walleye and trout, not because we were trying to catch them.

Thanks. Do you remember any depths (generally) or locations. Thanks!

Midsummer: Look for mid-lake humps or reefs and fish on and especially on their edges. A depth finder can be your best friend. I have a simple hand-held model. On SAK there are at least 2 of these humps out from the campsite just to the east of the Eddy portage. We floated over them all one cloudy afternoon and caught many SB and NP.
