Call Bucks Hardware in Grand Marais. I've bought there many times.

Wow! 4 lbs. is a lot of leeches. Must have been a big group of all fisherman.

Ugly baby was only willing to sell by the dozen, not by the pound when I called him. If you don’t need a lot I’m sure they would be a great option.
We needed 4 lbs so had to go elsewhere

Give Ugly Baby a call 218-388-0303 - very close to Trail Center. I like supporting a local and he has always had leeches for me

This year we got to the gunflint trail late (9:00 pm) for our bunkhouse stay after all of the bait shops were closed.
We called bait box in superior were able to reserve 4 pounds of leeches that we grabbed on the way up. Highly recommend giving them a call to see what their supply is looking like.

I'd call ahead for it being this late in the summer. In case you need to get them in Duluth or elsewhere instead of find out once you've driven past all those places there aren't any in GM. (not saying there aren't, but everyone runs out at some point)

They are still on business and open. You can also try any of the gas stations in town. You can also try the Ugly Baby which is mid-gunflint trail a few miles beyond the turnoff for bearskin

We are entering East Bearskin on Tuesday of next week (8/17/21). We are staying in Grand Marais the night before. I have stayed there once a few years ago, and purchased leeches at Beaver House bait/tackle shop.
Can anyone confirm if they are selling leeches? Or if they are still in business (I cannot find a good phone number or website for them).
Any other places in the area that might sell leeches?
Thanks
