Use the map function on the Minnesota dnr lake finder site. Look at the surveys and a stocking numbers. Personally I don’t really target walleyes on the GFT. Much better lake trout territory in my opinion.


Saganaga is no secret, end of the trail. But not an easy lake to fish.

95% of the time we target the Echo trail and its lakes (crooked, iron, stuart) for this reason alone. I’m aware of the DNR survey system, but some of those are outdated, plus I really wanted to hear people’s opinions of success stories. I’m thinking Sag, Red Rock, might be some hot spots, but I’d love to hear more.
