Ya pretty slow. It was tough to fish the wing dams because of grass. Couldn't cast cranks or jig... I have been fishing below the le Clare dam and it's been pretty clean. I will be returning to fish the wingdams around the Cordova nuke plant. Have done pretty good in past years.
We didn't fish any back waters

Nice...you're at the lower end of all the "good" pools which is pretty much from there on up. I'm closest to 16-18 and they're ok but nothing compared to those for sport fish

Really? I figured with it being so low that it was cleaning up some. It was clean for me on 17 this weekend and as clear as I've seen it (other than during winter of course)

yogi,

I am very interested to hear how this goes. My family lives about 15 minutes from Clinton. I've spent a considerable amount of time in Clinton and Le Claire, but not much time fishing. Good luck to you!

Buddy and I are going to fish pool 13 tomorrow.
Clinton Iowa to le Clair Iowa.
Give or take 25 miles.
One buddy will drop us off in Clinton.
Take my truck and trailer down stream to Rapid city.
Got some personal experience
Got a hot spot map and 7-9 mile wind.
Good fishing day.

Targets.
Crankbaits on wing dam for walleye
Slower running sloughs for crappie

Stink bait for cats
Maybe some northerns..
Stay tuned

Good Luck.

As my fishing partner's wife has said, "Catch some damn fish, and don't get home too early!"
