I know lakes tend to cycle and people like to keep mouths closed. My kids and I like to hit Iron or Crooked about every other year. What lakes seem to be quite hot these days...keep in mond we are not crazy all day fisher people and we are forced to do late July first week of August. Thank You.

Any large big water lake would be my recommendation

Last week of August fished Disappointment, very happy with the results some great smallmouth and managed to eat walleye almost every meal. Leeches are a must have.

Walleye, smallmouth, and pike. But there are nice crappie, perch, bluegill, and rockbass also.
