Crappie and walleye, the walleye were on the bottom and the crappie were suspended.

Crocodile checks the "quick and easy" box and is known for lots of eater-size walleye. Took my 12 yr old kid who loves fishing to Croc this past Aug and had a blast catching plenty of smaller, keeper walleye. For this kid, it's more about frequent bites and catches than anything else. We had luck in the bays, and on the points, near the 2nd campsite (from the west).

Nothing beats a parent/child bwca trip. Have fun and good luck with the fishing!

What did you catch on Basswood last October fishing with minnows on humps in 10 to 15 foot of water?

I'm looking to do a fall trip with my 12 year old son. Would be his 4th trip in and we usually go in 3rd week of May. Looking for a quick and easy trip that has potential for good to great fishing. He loves to fish, but like all of us, loves to catch fish.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and if you willing to give up your fishing spot, well even more appreciative, and we would maybe eat one and release all others.

Thanks.
