The first time I fished GeBe I caught two 25” walleye fishing only a few hours. I only stayed one night. I really wanted to spend more time there. Subsequently, I’ve spent at least one full day the last 3 years there, but I’ve struck out on walleye. In the past I’ve done well on Shell and Lynx, but that’s during the summer. I think October walleye fishing can be a little more challenging.

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster. Going on my third trip into the BW the first week of October from Little Indian Sioux up to Ge-Be-On-E-Quet to base camp and then exit to the south back to LIS. MN DNR reports walleye in the lake, and I've done some research on the forums and across the web but not a whole lot of information about this lake.. I guess what I'm looking for is if anyone here has spent some time on this lake, is it worth base camping on for the fishing or should I set my sights on a different lake? I know finger & pocket just to the north are other possible candidates, as well as Shell, and Lynx to the south.

My other two trips have been geared towards lots of miles and moving camps every day for the adventure, but this one is just one other guy and myself and we plan to make this a fishing trip so I'll take any advice coming from Ohio (live far enough from Lake Erie that I don't often make the trip to fish there)... we don't have much walleye experience but hope to change that on this trip!

edit: This will be a 6.5 day trip.
