Mike, I credit you for my being a very mediocre fisherman.

I used to be terrible, so I thank you!

I think you could find all of them but maybe one.

That’s what it is all about for me is hearing that I made difference for someone on their fishing trips!

When I read your first sentence, I thought well this doesn’t sound good. I was pleased to read the next sentence:) You are certainly welcome! If you or anyone else has a question I would greatly try to answer the best as I can!

Good luck this year!

Thanks for the kind words!

Mike, I received your article on Zulu Magic back in 2014, the last time I went to the bwca. I have to say, I can't praise you or your article enough!
Although the fishing was good all week, on many different kinds of lures, the zulu presentation was far and away the standout technique. Enough to earn the irritation of my trip partners when I was using it and they weren't.
I am going back this June for the first time in over a decade and I can't wait to see if it still works. Hopefully not too many people are listening to you, and there are still some fish left up there. :-)

It’s awesome to hear success stories about people using my presentations. That’s what it is all about for me, helping people catch more fish. I published a new article on the Zulu presentation in 2019, that’s what I send out to everyone now. So if you want to read the Zulu Update article send me an email at Queticomike@yahoo.com - and request the article.

Thanks Mike, very generous of you!

I used your Zulu magic for one of my son’s friends on a wind bound day on Pickeral Lake and he proceeded to catch the largest and the most fish he has ever caught in his life.

Are all of these available in old BWJ issues as well?

If you need any advice about back surgery, feel free to reach out. I have had several over the years - 4 to be exact. However, #3 was a correction for #2 about 3 weeks after initial surgery. I'm more than happy to help. Good luck man!

Did you send an email? If so, did I respond? Like I previously mentioned sometimes these emails end up in my junk folder.

If you want to read my latest article- Disco Lemonade- it can be found in the current Boundary Waters Journal. It’s an article about how the Disco Lemonade chartreuse double willow bait spinner came to be. It’s a fun story.

It’s been a long time since I fished that river. Never from a boat. There were boats in the middle of the river, but I couldn’t tell you how big they were or what size motor they were running.
