I was just there. We did well on plastics and leeches. We fished the flow off Curtain (not very close to it, but where it enters the lake). There's enough right there to take up a day.

The other side of the lake was good too--where it dumps out at Bottle. And the very pronounced and well-known mid-lake reef gave up fish as well as just about every point, bay and hump we could find.

And yes Peterson is a blast. We did not catch a ton in there this year but there's good bass to be had for sure.

We have always had a great time on Iron. We have mainly caught Smallies and Northern. We want to catch more walleye in a couple weeks. Of course we dont know what campsite we will find.

Anyone able to give me the lowdown on where to find them dropping leeches?

The current flowage on Curtain Falls, but well back away from the falls like where it all spills out, stay off to the sides. The opening to the main lake in that same area. Peterson bay has produced, also.

I was also just there, camped at the site right by Curtain Falls, last Tues/Weds/Thurs. Wonder if we ran into each other!

We only caught two walleye but we weren't trying for them. They were up shallow with the bass and pike at the southeast end of the lake (east of Peterson), eating a plastic swimbait. Smallies and pike were smashing everything though, was a blast.
