Hope you get this in time- I was in mid-week. Didn't bring any bait. We got poured on, snowed on and we had 35 mph gust of wind between that. Caught a decent number of bass and northerns on spinnerbaits and shad raps. Trolling or sitting in one spot was next to impossible due to the weather. We had to fish where the weather allowed to, when the weather allowed us to. Didn't have a chance at much walleye action, but we were on the eastern motorized portion. All things considered I was quite happy to catch anything!

Are minnows necessary or is the water warm enough for leeches? We are debating bringing minnows in or just leeches. considering we are coming from Wood Lake it would be nice to carry as little as possible.
